Manager Housekeeping - Pillows Grand Hotel Reylof Gent - 18/04/10

Your role As Manager Housekeeping, you are responsible for the cleanliness and quality of the rooms and public areas in our hotel, restaurant and wellness. By doing so you are contributing to a unique guest experience. You will plan, organise and coordinate all housekeeping activities and you can keep your team of Room Attendants motivated and happy. You will give them the necessary instructions and training, so they can be the best at their job. Together with your assistant and supervisors, you will oversee and check the quality of their work and service in the rooms, wellness area and public areas. It is your responsibility to make sure your team is organised and to draw up the necessary schedules as well as assuring your team follows the internal guidelines and rules. In case of defects, you will contact the technical service and double check the repairs. In case of questions or complaints of guests, it is your responsibility to provide the necessary service and solve the problem. You will be responsible for drawing up the budget of the housekeeping department and to manage the stock and the orders. You will check invoices and make sure your team does not squander the supplies. Besides these daily responsibilities you will also be a member of the hotel management team and you will participate in management meetings.

Compétences requises:		Who are you? Are you an experienced housekeeping professional? Are you a specialist in all things cleaning and hygiene? Can you motivate your team as well as yourself to deliver the best service possible and to put our guest at the centre of everything we do? Check your profile; Prior experience in a similar position in the luxury segment, hotels, restaurants and/or different luxury settings with international guests. Experience managing a team with different cultural backgrounds. Knowledge of and experience with hygiene and cleaning products. Neat appearance. Independent and self-motivating professional with a positive mindset. Good administrative knowledge of Microsoft Office. Good language skills in both spoken and written Dutch and English. Any other language is an asset.
