Area Reservations Agent - 20/04/18

Main purpose of job As our Area Reservation Agent, you will contribute to the growth of the rooms and accommodation business of our different properties in Brussels. Responsibilities / Tasks: • Welcome the guest and answer the telephone with a smile for internal and external calls. • The Reservation agent welcomes every client who wishes to reserve a room in the hotel (if requested by reception). He/She will be coordinating all room activities for individual reservations. • Provides the potential clients with propositions and confirmations in the form of offers and confirmations all responding to the needs and demands of the clients • Controls and updates on a regular basis (together with his/her colleagues) the files of all individual reservations • Ensure clear communication with all other departments and do all follow-ups for the requested information by the other departments • Ensure proper filing and administration • Carry out any other tasks requested by management in keeping with the Thon Hotels’ standards and ideas.

Compétences requises:		• Native speaking Dutch or equal level, French and English (oral and written) are essential in the job, other languages are a plus • Experience in the service industry is a must, preferably in the reservation department; experience in the MICE department is a plus • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Opera are required, knowledge of other tools such as HRS, Booking and Expedia are a plus • Organised, accurate and structured with an eye for detail • Accurate, flexible and problem-solving • Excellent sales skills • Service orientated and stress resistant • Team player In addition, you can identify you with our 3 basic values: 1) Passionately committed, 2) Professional hospitality and 3) The power to please.
