BAR MANAGER IN CHARGE OF F&B - 23/07/19

The Bar Manager in charge of F&B's key expertise lies witin the bar operation, this includes, but is not limited to: In charge of all events taking place in Wxyz bar and the Backyard as the main point of contact;Scheduling team of talents; Ordering and receiving all goods in time and within budget; Innovating the bar and it’s menu constantly, in line with trends and innovations,Being involved in creating the Wxyz budget, and forecasting; Attend and prepare P&L Meetings; Actively operate the bar – this is not an office job. The Bar Manager in charge of F&B is always out in the Re:mix focusing on providing Aloft signature service + consistent upselling; Assisting in operating Refuel – focusing on Aloft signature service + upselling opportunities ;• Set-up meeting rooms as required and host guests on arrival and throughout meeting; Ensure all areas are clean and well stocked; Complete administrative tasks required, such as event planning, stock take, etc. Be the face of live music events and DJ nights, creating guest loyalty and return Schedule talents in the right way, to ensure our productivity levels are met whilst at the same time ensuring that we give our guests all the attention they should have. Prepare drinks for guests, ensure that the proper materials and supplies are at hand, and host guest experience. Ensure that minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcoholic beverages. Be responsible for the cash register. Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area through disposing of all waste, clearing and cleaning all glassware, and wiping down bar and preparation areas. Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits. Control costs. Perform opening and closing sidework duties as assigned.

English is mandatory, any other language (French/Dutch) is an asset; Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written; Must possess basic computer skills. Must have knowledge of and be able to operate all equipment related to the outlet, including, but not limited to, coffee maker and cash terminal. Must have a strong knowledge of drink preparation and applicable health standards.
