Shift Leader - 30/07/19

Main purpose of job : We are looking for a colleague who likes to think independently, dares to ask questions and take his own initiative. You are engaged and personal in your meeting with guests and colleagues. Your primary task, together with the reception team, is to create a consistently good atmosphere and service to our hotel guests. Responsibilities / Tasks : The Shift Leader leads the reception team, interacts with our guests and actively contributes to the excellence of the department. He/she ensures that all tasks are followed up on to keep the highest standards: ◾Ensure that operations are run smoothly including check in/out procedures, procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy, group preparations, ◾Support Team Members in handling Guest requests and enquires to ensure a positive outcome ◾Ensure the Front Office Manager is fully aware of any relevant feedback from Guests and/or other departments ◾Ensure a consistent, high level of customer service and monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Front Office Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork ◾Drive sales revenues and promote hotel services and facilities for up-selling opportunities ◾Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics to inspire Team Members to meet and exceed standards ◾Conduct training programs on an ongoing basis ◾Carry out shift handovers and brief team members as required ◾Ensure that goals in terms of number of enrollments of our loyalty program are met ◾Assist in FO administration

Vereiste vaardigheden:		You are flexible and initiative-oriented and thrive in a hectic working environment. ◾Strong experience in the service industry, preferably in the FRONT OFFICE department. ◾Flexible (working in shifts, also night shifts from time to time) ◾Fluent in written and verbal English and French is a must (Dutch or any other language is a plus) ◾Can handle and keep control of stressful situations ◾Analytic and ability to make decisions ◾Knowledge of OPERA, Outlook, Word & Excel ◾Positive attitude and good communication skills ◾Result driven and ensure that targets are met ◾Committed to delivering a high level of customer service ◾Excellent grooming standards and professional presentation ◾Dynamic, motivated and service minded person In addition, you can identify you with our 3 basic values: 1) Passionately committed, 2) Professional hospitality and 3) The power to please.
