Part-time Accountant - 01/08/19

Main purpose of job : We are looking for a motivated person joining our team at the Thon Hotel EU on a part time basis, assisting the Hotel Accountant in daily administrative tasks. As part time Accountant, we expect the same level of commitment as anyone else part of the team. You will be working office hours two to three times a week independently or under the supervision of the Hotel Accountant and you will report directly to the Hotel Accountant and General Manager. The Accounting Department at Thon Hotel EU is focused on the operations, given that there is a centralized Accounting Department for Thon Hotels in Brussels. To that end, the position at Thon Hotel EU is mainly accounts receivables, hotel level accounting and administration. Responsibilities / Tasks : ◾Routine tasks such as managing city ledgers and sending invoices to customers; tracing, controlling and recording promotions in F&B; recording, counting and balancing cash from all cashiers,… ◾Invoicing and communicating with travel agents ◾Resolving guests’ problems and questions ◾Dealing with credit card charges (contact with credit card companies, release/charge a certain amount, trace the history of charges, correction of double charges and other mistakes) ◾Revise commissions due and commission claims ◾Maintaining a good accounts receivables balance ◾Other (ad hoc) tasks
