Executive Chef - Pillows Grand Hotel Reylof - 19/04/18

Your role As Executive Chef you will be responsible for directing your brigade for several outlets, one of which we aim to get Michelin and/or Gault Millau 16+ recognition for. You will facilitate the success of several chefs and their teams from mise-en-place to making up the final dishes. As the culinary expert you will assist in the development of new dishes as well as the content of the menus and banqueting propositions and you understand that all of this is intended to lead to healthy commercial growth. You will lead and oversee all culinary operations for all outlets as well as food quality and presentation, compliance with all safety and sanitation standards (HACCP) and regulations. Your leadership style, charisma and focus will drive the concept toward Gault Millau 15 points concept and ultimately recognition. You understand what luxury means and your most important KPI is the guest satisfaction and with that indicator in mind you head up and facilitate the team for them to deliver the ultimate guest experience. You will work in irregular shifts and report to the Director of F&B.

Compétences requises:   Who are you? Are you a hospitality professional with Michelin and/or Gault Millau 15+ level experience? Do you have a taste for the business as well as your signature dishes? Will you stimulate and facilitate your team to provide the best possible service and put our guests first in all we do? Check your profile: Multiple years of relevant experience within the high-end luxury hospitality and restaurant market in Europe. Charismatic leadership style with the ability to effectively lead your team (leading by example). A true team player who understands the importance of interdepartmental collaboration. Flexibility across numerous cuisines. Proven successful experience with healthy cost-income ratios. No excuse mentality when it comes to HACCP. Attention to detail and a sense of urgency. Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, ordering, labor and inventory systems. Being comfortable to act as guest facing kitchen in order to exceed guest expectations. You are able to draw up and present core and other management data (financial and otherwise). Professional communication skills in English, proficiency in the Dutch and French are an advantage. If you are applying from outside of Belgium, you need to be willing to meet the team in a face to face meeting in our hotel in Gent in the final stage of the recruitment process.
