Main purpose of job : The MICE Hotel Planner is part of the active life of the hotel by working in different and flexible shifts. He/she is the contact person for guests on site by supervising the event/group/meeting. The communication from out the Hotel Planners department is vital for achieving high guest satisfaction by establishing fluent teamwork with all the other departments of the Hotel. Responsibilities / Tasks : • Being the contact person of the guest before, during and after his stay/event/group. • Making offers for dinners, cocktails, lunches and last minute meetings or group requests following the internal procedure and following-up on the made offers and contracts. • Answering emails and telephone in a polite, professional and clear way. • Participating on sales activities: site inspections, call storms, conference calls, organise sales actions, updating of the sales materials. • Taking care of function sheets, rooming lists, following-up on the deposits and carry out spot checks in the field. • Organising the weekly function sheet meeting for the operational teams. • Quest back (satisfaction survey), follow up on guest feedback. • Preparing the files after the event for the accounting department. • Control of the Revenue on a daily basis and compile accurate forecast in PMI. • Duty shifts.

Compétences requises: | Skill set we are looking for: You are flexible and initiative-oriented and thrive in a hectic working environment who pays attention to details with a hands-on mentality. • Good communication skills, both written and oral in English, French and Dutch. Any additional languages are always a plus. • An excellent team player, good presentation, fluent communication, professional manners and creativity. • Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point. Knowledge of Opera is an advantage. • Hotel school background. • Minimum 2 years working experience in the hotel industry.
