Operations Manager - 15/01/24

Collaborate: You closely collaborate and communicate with the General Manager in order to establish strategy and priorities. Supervise and assist: You control the execution of hotel activities, survey the progress of work; you guarantie the productivity, service, hygiene and security using the hotel guidelines; you survey the service given to the hotel clients, inform and manage; handle complaints and collaborate with and assist colleagues. Organize: You assure the execution and control of work schedules and distribution of tasks, orders, deliveries, stock and inventory, the operation of working materials Manage: You conduct weekly meetings with the Heads of Departments of the Operational Departments. You coach and correct where needed and are involved in the recruitment and selection process. You are responsible for managing and training and give instructions, motivate and lead by example. Administrate: You are responsible for the daily follow up on short-term forecasts, schedules, productivities where you control the information relating to the level of staff, sales, stocks, loss etc. in line with the hotel guidelines. You ensure the handling and control of information, establish reports and file documents. You are highly involved in the monthly P&L, forecasts, budget & CAPEX Support : You are the right hand of the General Manager and replace him during his absence. You will also perform shifts as Manager on Duty on a regular base (guest handling, operational support to all departments, safety & security checks, etc.) also during weekends and bank holidays.

Vereiste vaardigheden:   Dedication. You are a results-oriented and collaborative and have a no-nonsense approach. You are a strong communicator, open, honest and dedicated to building trust within the team. People Manager. You can effectively manage and motivate teams. Experience in the hotel sector. You have a proven track record in managing average or large size hotels or have an extensive experience as a rooms division manager or department head of multiple larger operational departments. Experience with unions is also an asset. Customer oriented. Making people happy is your priority. You adapt to the changing needs of our guests. Communication. You love being in contact with both guests and colleagues in English and French, Dutch and every other language is a plus. Flexible. No 9-5 mentality. You adapt easily to people and situations and are willing to work during weekends and bank holidays. Structured. You work in a structured and organized way; this is essential in a property with 454 rooms and 13 conference rooms. Team player. You lead and motivate by example. You ensure that the different departments operate efficiently and respect the different targets set. Innovative. You think out the box, have a close eye on trends and adapt to the changing needs of the guests. Hands-on and proactive mentality. You take action today to make tomorrow better. IT systems. Knowledge of Opera, Samfex, Symphony, Basware, Mpleo, Proteam, ... is a plus.
